Gotham Knight's and the Batman Arkham series utilize two very different versions of Batgirl's character, despite maintaining a shared identity. Batgirl frequently appears throughout Batman mythos, usually as the secret identity of Barbara Gordon, but Gotham Knights and the Batman Arkham series handle the character very differently.
After all, Gotham Knights is the first AAA title focused on the Caped Crusader’s world since Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham Knight in 2015, outside of the underrated choose-your-own adventure Telltale games. What do we even hope to get out of a Batman game?

This is Mr. Freeze going all out by freezing the entire city of Gotham. The news hits and the Gotham Knights are gathered around the TV. Mr. Freeze managed to create a giant ice storm covering and originating from Elliot Tower. The Gotham Knights must stop Mr. Freeze before the ice throws Gotham back to the ice age.

Enter Gotham Knights, a new title in the Arkham series in which four DC Comics characters from the Bat-family step out of the shadows of the Dark Knight and attempt to fill his shoes. Of course, these are pretty big shoes to fill, which is likely why Rocksteady felt they needed to add up to four playable DC characters.
I'm playing Gotham Knights on the Xbox Series X. Arkham Knight had a LOT of stuff going on and a LOT of DLC and a LOT of detail in the graphics (for it's time). The graphics always seemed dark to me though and a bit blurry/messy. It's as if they tried TOO hard. The graphics of Gotham Knight are a bit lighter and cleaner.
