I haven’t done this with enemies but it seemed to work on inanimate objects (like those torch things in that temple) but holding pull should keep the object pulled and floating. The. Aim while still holding pull. Then when you are ready push the enemy without letting go of pull. Its worth a try. Hopefully that works. That did it.
